While the Shadow system can be operated manually from the front panels of the individual units, the Shadow software will allow users to manipulate certain functions faster and easier. The software allows the user to create whatever type of screen they want, giving them the ability to monitor what is important to them, without the need for mandatory scrolling through a pre-determined set of pages to get there.

The Shadow SPSC software will allow the user to quickly and easily set up all routing in the system. The software is active off-line as well, meaning the user can design, change and store system set-ups without the need to be connected to any of the Shadow hardware.

Using the Shadow SPSC software, the user will be able to store snapshots. When connected to a Shadow system, the software can poll the system and provide a graphic representation of what is the current configuration includes, what units are included, and how they are connected. If the user attempts to alter the system configuration in a way that is not possible, the software will alert the user to the fact that they are trying to accomplish a configuration that is not possible.
