LightViper Systems

LightViper System 32 is a modular, digital fiber optic multi-channel audio/control system that replaces dated copper multi-pair wiring systems with a single run of lightweight fiber optic cable. Most audio being used in commercial, broadcast, recording and touring systems is digital. System 32 provides foolproof plug-and-play solutions for virtually every application.

For touring, carrying trunks of copper multi-core and hours of set-up and tear down time are things of the past. LightViper affords one man set-up and teardown with no ground loops. Pristine audio quality, plug & play operation and fewer headaches!

With the LightViper 4832 system, you can remotely control digital mic pre-amps on the stage right from your Yamaha digital console. And with our optional DMX-4 interface, control of your lighting can travel down the same fiber cable.

LightViper is perfect for remote broadcast applications, where extremely long runs are a normal occurrence. ESPN, NFL Network, MLB & BCS - just a few that rely on LightViper for live TV production. LightViper provides flawless performance in critical broadcast applications.

LightViper Shadow™ is more than a new series of equipment; it is a hardware control over fiber protocol which provides the user with almost unlimited options for routing of signals, multiple media types (audio, video, intercom, Ethernet,RS422/232/485 & TTL data), with redundancy of fiber & power.

The ability to have a “networked” fiber-optic transport system goes far beyond the capabilities of any “snake” provided by various console manufacturers. The Shadow™ platform allows complete flexibility and redundancy for any application including Concert Sound, Facility Installations, and Live Broadcast, Production, Remote Recording and more.

The Shadow™ hardware includes units containing remotely controllable mic preamps, as well as units containing a MADI interface. Every unit containing audio includes analog and digital inputs, and analog and digital outputs locally on the unit. We offer units with front panel display & controls, and units without, for applications where local control and/or monitoring are unnecessary. A total of 256 bi-directional audio channels at speeds up to 192k can be achieved using the Shadow™ system.

The Shadow™ SPSC software program allows users to design, set-up, control & monitor their Shadow™ systems from a Mac or PC. Every Shadow™ system device contains a USB connector, so the user can plug their computer in at any location in the Shadow™ system and control the entire system from that location.
