The VIS-1832 is the “head” end of our 1832 fiber optic transport system. It is intended for applications where mic/line level analog inputs will be used.

It contains (32) mic pre-amps with individual (3) position gain switch, individual LED clip indicators, phantom power in groups of (8), Burr Brown A/D converters, and (8) analog returns. There are up to (3) fiber connections available; (1) primary (standard) and up to (2) optional “splits”. The VIS-1832 will operate at 24 bit/48k or 24 bit/96k. It can be fit with ST, TAC-4 or Neutrik OpticalCon® connectors.

The VIS-1832 operates on 90VAC – 260VAC via a Neutrik PowerCon® connector. It also contains a control port capable of passing TTL data, as well as RS-422 control data via the optional DGL-422 dongle. Utilizing the optional MD-3 multiple control interface, it can also pass RS-422, MIDI or RS-232 control data.

The VIS-1832 is convection cooled and can also be rack mounted. See page 4 for rack mounting options.
