The new DMX4 lighting control multiplexer consists of (2) units; the DMX4i input unit and the DMX4o output unit, and offers seamless interfacing with existing LightViper™ audio transport systems. Taking advantage of the additional bandwidth present on the return path optics (the 8 audio returns are transported down one fiber), it lets you transport (4) universes of DMX (2048 independent DMX channels), or (3) universes (1536 independent DMX channels) plus Yamaha RS422 control from FOH to stage (one way only) on the same fiber as the (8) audio returns, so no additional fiber is required to add DMX4 units to your system.

Each unit sports (4) 3-pin XLR, (4) 5-pin XLR inputs / outputs, a 9 pin connector for Yamaha RS422 control, and rugged RJ45 connectors on both the front and rear panel to interface with LightViper 1832, 4832 or 1808/0808 systems.

Power for the DMX4i and DMX4o is derived from the LightViper™ system through the RJ45 connector, so no additional power is required. The RJ45 connectors on the front and rear panel are in parallel, so you can choose either connector to connect your system depending on what is most convenient given your rack configuration.

ROHS compliant, these units are normally sold in pairs. As with all other LightViper™ branded product, they carry the Fiberplex limited lifetime warranty and are manufactured in the USA.
